Alumina 99,7% - Cerafast
Microcertec produces its own alumina ceramic at its Cerafast plant in addition to the sintered alumina grades sourced from ceramic suppliers. The latter supplies Microcertec S.A.S either with optimized tubular blanks and any green-machined shapes, or finished parts that do not require post-sintering grinding when as-fired tolerances are suitable for the customer application – typically +/- 1% to 2% with a minimum of +/- 0.1 to 0.2 mm.MORE INFORMATION

Our 99.7 % alumina is a grade primarily used in the following applications :
- electrical insulators and/or corrosion-resistance components for solid-state and gas lasers, for semicon processing equipment (chuck, end effector, seal ring..)
- electrical insulators for electron tubes, mass spectrometers, ion detectors, ignition devices…
- electrical insulators or structural parts for high-vacuum and/or cryogenic equipment, nuclear radiation devices, equipment used at high-temperature…
- wear and/or corrosion-resistance components, piston for pumps, valves and dosing systems, sampling blood valves...
We supply the following alumina :
- 99.7 % high purity grade
- Isostatic-pressed with a very high density offering both good mechanical and electrical insulation properties
- An alternative grade can be supplied with purposely a lower density to get a level of porosity between 15 % and 20 % for special applications related to filtration / absorption for instance
