MICROCERTEC ACQUIRES GLASS-SPECIALIST CTVM
Microcertec expanded its fields of business on 1st August 2012 through the acquisition of CTVM – Composants Techniques Verre Métal – a five-employee company specialized in technical glass blowing, glass-to-metal seals and the manufacturing of special filaments. Its core products and application markets are ball levels for horizon gauges for aircrafts, filaments and filament blocks for the vacuum industry, glass-to-metal tubes as well as vacuum gauges and gauge grids for electron tubes, glass-to-metal seals for the sensors industry.
Its manufacturing expertise, highly skilled employees, custom-made products and technology-driven niche applications markets will complement and perfectly fit with Microcertec ceramic products and PNL Innotech ceramic-to-metal & glass-to-metal seals.
CTVM currently operates from a site located at Gretz-Armainvilliers nearby Microcertec. During the first half 2013, its activities will be moved into our new factory when it is fully operational to complete the integration of the three companies.
Microcertec is thus asserting its strategy to develop its portfolio of technical ceramic and glass products for high-tech industries through highly-skilled and complementary businesses.
