LOOKING BACK AT AN EVENTFUL YEAR

2008 was with no doubt the most noticeable year in our company history. First of all, our turnover rose 7,5 % (+ 20 % vs 2006) as a result of our commercial actions as well as a favorable business climate.
However, we experienced in the early part of the year late deliveries of which some of you suffered. These were the evidence of a significant and dramatic influx of orders. But in line with our commitment we have worked over the last months to improve the situation taking the following actions :
- hiring of two full-time operators and two apprentices in production
- investing into several production equipment. Two additional surface grinding machines as well as one NC machining centre are now in operations and an NC cylindrical grinding machine will be commissioned in February
As far as marketing activities are concerned, our sales development actions driven by Damien Lagrange in Germany, Switzerland and Austria resulted in promising results. Therefore, Damien joined the team at Collégien on 1st July in order to pursue this action and to reinforce our sales team.
Finally, we would also like to remind you of the launch of our redesigned web site in March, our attendance at various exhibitions - SMT in Nurnberg and Optatec in Frankfurt in June, Micronora in Besançon in September.
An eventful year that heralds another one…
