NEW PARTNERSHIP FOR THIN-FILM COATINGS

Microcertec reinforces its offer for metallised products in establishing a partnership with Kerdry, a company located in Lannion in Britanny, France. Kerdry specializes in thin-film coating technologies and has deposition equipment – sputtering, ion beam and evaporation – as well as photolithography equipment.
Operating in clean-room environment solely and benefiting from its strong experience with the Telecom industry, this young company aims at making customized thin-film coatings for the high-tech industries. Its capabilities allow Kerdry to achieve thin-film metallizing for such applications as electrical conductivity, brazing or mirrors as well as optical coatings for filters, mirrors and anti-reflective layers.
Kerdry studies and develops its own coatings conforming to customers’ specifications from prototypes to production quantities. The two companies have complementary capabilities that allow them to offer products for a wider range of applications :
- ceramic components, high-precision machining, laser micromachining, 3D metallized ceramics
- optical filters - band pass, dichroic..
- mirrors – dielectric and metallic
- antistatic and conductive coatings – Indium Tin Oxide (ITO)
- 2D photolithography metallised substrates
- combined optical coating and thin-film metalliziing for brazing on optical fibers and filters.
